WHAT TYPE OF RACK WILL FIT MY VEHICLE?
You need to first figure out what your options are for attaching racks to the car. There are three types of roofs:

Guttered
Gutter less
Existing Factory Installed

Guttered are typically associated with older cars, trucks and vans. A gutter in this case is a ridge above your car door that sticks up approximately 1/2 inch and runs the length of the car.

Gutter less is what you see on newer cars. In most cases, the door shuts flush to the roof top, and there are no ridges. See info. next to Gutter less Car Racks below or call for additional details on just how Gutter less Car Racks are attached .

Factory Installed are racks that are installed at the factory or dealer. You see these typically on the SUV's. (Suburban, Explorers, Wagoner's, Vans etc.) For purposes of buying accessories, it could also include Thule, or Yakima type racks that are already installed on your automobile. We sell pads and straps that you can add to these types of racks to hold your Surfboard or Kayak.
